1:1 Student Device Program
Regina Catholic Schools is introducing a division-wide 1:1 program to provide every student in Grades 4–12 with their own device, starting with Grades 4–8 in the 2025–26 school year. This program is designed to enrich learning, support productivity, and prepare students for future careers.
Providing each student with a device also creates equitable access to digital tools and allows for personalized assistive technology to meet individual learning needs. Students in Grades 4–8 will be assigned a Windows laptop, with charging stations available in classrooms and learning spaces. Devices will be refreshed every four years and must be returned before we issue a new one.
Classroom use of 1:1 devices will follow best practices for teaching and learning, including age-appropriate screen time, and will align with recognized digital learning standards. Students are expected to follow Administration Application 5102 – Acceptable Use of Technology by Employees and Students.
Parents are welcome to talk with their child’s teacher about how devices will be used in their classroom. The program will expand in the future to include students in Kindergarten to Grade 3 and Grades 9–12.
