WITH SORROW

Pope Francis encouraged us to talk and work together, not just in the Catholic Church, but with all Christians. He wanted us to pray, and work for peace and fairness together. He showed us that kind words and attentive listening is important for sharing the message of the Gospel. As Archbishop Donald Bolen said in his statement on the passing of the Holy Father, “May his legacy continue to inspire the Church for generations to come.”

RIBBON CUTTING

After many months and years of work, we celebrated the Blessing and Official Opening of the new Catholic Education Centre. We are grateful to all our staff and supporters for their work in making the renovation and move a success. As he blessed the building and cut the ribbon to officially open the new Catholic Education Centre, Archbishop Donald Bolen affirmed his support of the importance of Catholic education.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION WEEK

Catholic Education Week in Saskatchewan is May 25 – 31, 2025, and World Catholic Education Day is on Ascension Thursday, which is May 29. This week let’s us celebrate and share the gift of Catholic education. Regina Catholic Schools, along with the other seven Catholic school divisions in our province will pray together knowing we are blessed to provide a Catholic education rooted in our faith and focused on each individual student, who is a child of God.

EMBRACING MAY

There is no school May 15-19, adding to the May long weekend. While staff prepares for the final weeks of the year, we pray students have the time needed to finish the 2024-2025 school year refreshed and ready to learn, grow, and enjoy the remainder of the school year.
