Formed in response to Pope Francis’s 2022 apology, the Indigenous Leadership Group partners with Saskatchewan’s eight Catholic school divisions to advance reconciliation and the TRC Calls to Action. Supported by the Saskatchewan Catholic School Boards Association, the group collaborates with Elders and Knowledge Keepers to integrate Indigenous history, language, and spiritual practices into Catholic education, aligning with the province’s Inspiring Success policy and fostering learning environments rooted in healing, respect, and shared understanding.
Created by the SCSBA Indigenous Leadership Team in partnership with the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, these four short films honour World Catholic Education Week in Saskatchewan. Inspired by the 2022 Papal visit and apology, they reflect a collective commitment to learning, listening, and walking together in Faith, Truth, and Reconciliation.
