October Board Update

Strategic Plan

Formally approved at our September Public Board Meeting, our new 2026-2029 Strategic Plan is available now. This plan is our proverbial road map for the next three years of learning and growing in Regina Catholic Schools. We built this plan based on your feedback. Student, staff, family, faith partners and community partners all responded with their thoughts on what we’re doing well, where we need to do more, and how best to serve our students and communities. Thank you for sharing your voices.

Truth & Reconciliation

A six-year-old’s first day at residential school inspired a movement across the country. People wear orange to honour residential school survivors, a movement that originated from a campaign started by Phyllis Webstad, a residential school survivor. Phyllis tells her story of her brand-new orange shirt that was taken away on her first day of residential school. September 30 was named National Day for Truth & Reconciliation to set the stage for learning and coming together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for generations of children to come. Regina Catholic Schools marked this day with liturgies and activities on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Thankful Hearts

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we reflect on the many blessings in our school communities. We are grateful for our students, families, staff, parish partners, and volunteers whose kindness, faith, and commitment help create welcoming places to learn and grow. This season offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the relationships that connect us and the gifts we share with one another. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

Did You Know?

Regina Catholic Schools transports 51% of our students to and from school each day. Most of those students are in elementary school riding on a yellow school bus. Our Transportation team works 12 months a year to find the best routes, arrange for efficiency on each bus trip, and register new riders. You can learn more about RCSD Transportation here.
