More than lowering flags: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

🧡 More than lowering flags. More than a day on the calendar.

Yesterday, across Lloydminster Catholic School Division, our schools came together to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation through learning, listening, reflecting, remembering and participating.

From thoughtful lessons and meaningful conversations to guest speakers, activities, dances and events, our students, staff and families showed such eagerness to learn and engage. Here we capture such a small piece of a day filled with curiosity, respect, connection and a commitment to understanding the truth of our shared history.

Thank you to every student, staff member, family, Elder, guest speaker and community partner who helped make the day so meaningful and educational. Your time, your stories, your learning and your willingness to participate helped make this day so much more than lowering flags.

It was a day to remember.
A day to learn.
A day to listen.
A day to reflect.
And a day to continue walking forward together.

🧡 Every Child. Every Day.
