Hello from Holy Trinity Catholic School Division! We have so much good news to share across our division this year.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our new school, Our Lady of Hope, this past fall. It is truly a beautiful place for students to learn and grow. One of its most unique features is the chapel, centrally located on the main floor, serving as the heart of the school.
The chapel includes a new electric piano, a brand-new altar and lectern, and two statues — one of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and one of Our Lady. These statues pay tribute to the two schools that came together to form our new community: Sacred Heart and St. Mary.
A screen has also been installed at the front of the chapel so that liturgies and song lyrics can be displayed, allowing students to participate fully and actively.
The Our Lady of Hope Ministry Team and Choir regularly use the chapel for meetings and rehearsals, and school Masses are also celebrated there, making it a vibrant and faith-filled gathering space for our school.
Holy Trinity Catholic also embraced the Jubilee Year theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” by organizing pilgrimages. Our Division Office and Administrative Teams visited each of the local Catholic churches — St. Joseph, Church of Our Lady, and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The priests graciously provided tours, celebrated Mass, and shared in a wonderful traditional Ukrainian lunch with us. For some staff members, attending Divine Liturgy at Moose Jaw’s Ukrainian Catholic Parish, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was a new and especially meaningful experience.
We have also been celebrating the families of Holy Trinity Catholic School Division through an online feature called “Catholic Education Spotlight.” Families are invited to share a photo and a short reflection explaining why they chose Catholic education for their children. The responses have been heartfelt, inspiring, and a beautiful testament to the strength of our faith-filled community. We hope to make this an ongoing feature!
