Lest We Forget
In quiet halls and hearts today,
We bow our heads, we stop, we pray.
For those who fought so we could be,
A land of faith and liberty.
They gave their all—so we might learn,
So hope and peace would still return.
Our classrooms thrive, our voices sing,
Because of their remembering.
We thank our schools for love and care,
For prayers and Mass, for time to share.
In every child, in every light,
God’s presence guides our hearts so bright.
We wear our poppies, red and true,
In gratitude for all they knew.
Called for Greatness, we’ll always stand—
With faith and love across this land.
As we pause for rest and take a break,
May we reflect on all at stake—
Our freedom, safety, love, and grace…
God bless our schools, our home, our place.
